Dr. Dowlat is a breast specialist who has contributed to the development of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment options over the past two decades by developing micro-invasive surgical techniques that have become the standard in hospitals across the nation. He is a Professor of Surgery at Rush University Medical Center, with clinical offices located at 60 East Delaware Place, Suite 1400. Dr. Dowlat performs the majority of his minimally invasive surgical procedures at the 900 North Surgical Center (adjacent to his office).

What to expect: Your initial consultation will consist of a breast exam, review of your history, mammogram and possible ultrasound examination. If you are referred for a biopsy, this will be performed the same day as your initial consultation without delay.
If a biopsy is taken, results will be provided within two to three days.
Diagnosis and surgery, if warranted, will be scheduled soon after.
